A series of 4 digital images printed on large format photo papers based on numerous text sources related to communication. The technique used by the artist is the same as in the series of "Digital Visuals From Lebanon", where the artist uses the capacity of the computer to render the files containing texts as if they were image files. The series includes:

1. Movement and communications. Text by Amal Traboulsi
Printed image: Width 54.49 cm x Height 54.49 cm

2. Communicate
(The word "Communicate")
Printed image: Width 56.25 cm x Height 56.25 cm

3. Miscommunication
(The word "Miscommunication")
Printed image: Width 56.81 cm x Height 37.88 cm

4. Universal Declaration of Human Rights
(The text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
Printed image: Width 56.18 cm x Height 54.37 cm

A series of 8 digital images printed on large format photo papers based on the numerous agreements signed by the Lebanese State since the independence of Lebanon. In order to obtain these images, the artist uses the capacity of the computer to render the files containing the texts of these agreements as if they were image files. The computer calculated the binary code of each text file and generated the corresponding image. The series comprises images of binary codes of these texts:
- The Doha agreement
- The Taef accord
- The Lebanon-Syria Treaty of Brotherhood, Cooperation and Coordination
- The tripartite agreement
- The Cairo agreement
- The national pact
- The Lebanese constitution
- The word « Lebanon » itself

From November 8, 1999 to June 6, 2001, everyone who wishes to contact and to converse with Lebanese was invited by Ricardo Mbarkho, to enroll in the discussion list: LebaneseGroup. Today, this project is frozen and the discussions are suspended. Main topics of discussion: the socio-politics and the actuality of the day.

This video questions the mobility of the Arameans in the Lebanese social context; this is through the example of a woman who has undergone one of the explosions in Beirut. Are the Arameans who hold their language and their religion pursued again by terrorism in Lebanon?

More than normal (Plus que normal) is a video that shows a three couples story that ends by a separation. 10 minutes of almost a total silence, where no dialogue and no action take place, at a time when an unstable equilibrium leads to tens atmosphere. Keywords for this video would be: Desire, charm, wish, love, fear, fatal, hopes, anger and separation.

A trip from Paris to Juvisy is the context of this video. The images that move horizontally with the train movements put us in the beginning of the film in a Parisian landscape. This landscape becomes a portrait after an accident that occurs during the travel and a "smooth" plot catch the spectators for 52 min to discover the climax at the end of the trail, at the end of the "unachieved" trip.

In April 2001, an email about a Tabbouleh Day is sent by Ricardo Mbarkho to a large number of people who forwarded it to their address books as well. It is about a new celebration day each first Saturday of July: The Lebanese National Tabbouleh Day. Year after year, this event is gaining in crescendo a huge popularity and it is now practiced by a big part of the Lebanese (and there friends) in Lebanon and abroad.

Since 1999, Ricardo Mbarkho spreads the contact information of many people who accept to be contacted by anyone informed about their availability. “Each one has from art what art has from itself » is the title of this art activity.

This work was a turning point into Ricardo Mbarkho’s art positioning. It questions the social accessibility, relations, and communication. Ricardo Mbarkho organized a "Week-end Pierre-Yves Fave Portes Ouvertes" from Friday June 4, 1999, 4 pm, to Saturday June 5, 1999, noon. And from Saturday June 5, 1999, 8 pm, to Monday June 7, 1999, 10 am. The invitation paper was simply mentioning: “You are invited to visit Pierre-Yves in his home". Address: 46 bis, Rue Jean Moulin. 93260 Les Lilas - France. Opening: Friday June 4, 1999, 4 pm.
