About this lecture
Round table with Ricardo Mbarkho, Journées méditerranéennes des arts plastiques (4th session), Taj Marhaba hotel, Sousse.
Ricardo Mbarkho spoke at this round table of the colloquium on October 12, 2003, on one of the themes the colloquium proposed: the place of new technologies in the conception process of the art piece. He was also a moderator at the colloquium that day.
The works “CONNECTED” and “VISITORS” by Ricardo Mbarkho (then signing as Ricardo Mbarak) were presented at the fourth session of the Journées méditerranéennes des arts plastiques (JMAP, Mediterranean Days of Visual Arts) in Sousse, Tunisia, from October 9 to 15, 2003.
This international event brought together artists and art theorists from Mediterranean countries for exhibitions, workshops and a symposium on the theme “New techniques of re-presentation in relation to new technologies”. The programme also included in-situ installations and video and interactive multimedia installations, shown for the first time in Tunisia.
