About this lecture
Seminar by Ricardo Mbarkho, RAMI, Atelier of Alexandria, 24th Alexandria Biennale.
From November 19 to 25, 2007, the last RAMI (International Encounters on Arts and Multimedia) events of 2007 took place in Alexandria, Egypt, organized by the Atelier of Alexandria, ZINC/ECM, SHAMS and Studio Azzurro as part of the 24th Alexandria Biennale.
On Saturday, November 24, 2007, from 2 to 3:30 pm, the first step of the day at the Atelier of Alexandria, “The Relationship between the arts and the digital tools?”, dealt with web arts, performing arts and multimedia, with historic approaches and examples of artistic procedures and works. The programme presented it as a round table with Ricardo Mbarkho (artist, researcher, teacher, member of the YASMIN network), Renaud Vercey (artist) and Claudine Dussollier (ZINC/ECM), followed by an open discussion and a conclusion by Reem Hassan (artist and teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Alexandria University, the Atelier of Alexandria and Dwayer).
