Lebanese Group

From November 8, 1999 to June 6, 2001, everyone who wished to contact and converse with Lebanese people was invited by Ricardo Mbarak to enrol in the discussion list LebaneseGroup.

Internet, a support of communication for a concrete work

In November 1999 he created a discussion list on the Internet, the LebaneseGroup Discussion List. The work is the creation of a context favourable to exchange. The work is the dialogue, capable of having concrete implications in reality. Today the project is frozen and the discussions are suspended.

Members

Among the people invited to join the list were Lebanese academics from the American University of Beirut, Notre Dame University, the Lebanese University, the University of Balamand and Haigazian University, but also everyone interested in the news of the Lebanese in Lebanon and around the world (Australians, Canadians, French, Greeks, Palestinians, Moroccans, Poles…).

Topics

The main topics of discussion were socio-politics and the news of the day. In this space that is the Internet, every member of the network could express themselves freely, beyond the circumstances of a geographical territory.
